Program and Curriculum Development
The Eminata Group primary focus is on the high-growth disciplines of health care, business, technology, education and art and design. These fields - which have been repeatedly cited by government statistics as experiencing labour shortages - represent three of the five most popular areas of postsecondary study based on degrees granted. As a result, our institutions have established a strong presence and reputation for quality in these fields.
Program Development
Program development and review processes draw on the expertise of Faculty, Program Advisory Committees, the use of existing robust curriculum development models, student input, employers, instructors, campus directors, specialists, and ongoing research to ensure that learning outcomes continue to meet community and changing industry needs. The development of new programs involves an extensive consultation with external stakeholders and additional related research. Each department reviews the outcomes and executes a quarterly action plan. Systematic compilation of data from employer surveys, employment placement statistics and enrollment rates allow for a national perspective and analysis of initiatives across regions.
Graduate Competencies and Market Place Driven Programs
Employer surveys, placement statistics and enrollment rates contribute greatly to our strategic planning, curriculum development and program improvement initiatives. We conduct labour market research to ensure that program curriculum is meets the demands of the current workplace and that there is a need for trained graduates in a particular region.
We also consult with external accrediting agencies, government sources, faculty, publishers, potential employers, and industry experts to ensure that graduate competencies and program outcomes meet the needs of the market place.
