Educational Quality Assurance
British Columbia's Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation is Canada's first and only provincial brand of quality for post-secondary education. The EQA provides one standard provincial seal that can be recognized globally as a symbol of quality education and consumer protection.
University Canada West is a BC EQA-designated post-secondary institution.
Professional Regulatory Bodies
In addition, specific curriculum is developed to meet the standards established by several professional bodies. The involvement of these provincial boards and professional bodies has been an important element in the development of private education in Canada, and we have worked closely with them to develop and ensure the quality and integrity of these accredited programs. This association has lent much greater credibility to programs offered through private institutions, providing assurance of quality to students that programs are on par with those offered through public institutions.

We believe that our graduate success rates on many of these associations' certification exams indicate and reinforce the quality of our programs and methods of delivery. Our Intra-Oral Dental Assistant program graduates have repeatedly achieved 100 per cent passing rates on the National Dental Assisting Examining Board exams. Our Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner graduates score some of the highest passing rates on the CTCMA certification exams. In 2005, two of our Vancouver Career College graduates were recognized by the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) and granted the Best International Business Plan award.
